Jersey Trees for Life has confirmed details of its partnership with trust and private office services provider, Accuro, in relation to Adelina Wood in St Helier.
Extending over three years, the agreement sees Accuro provide annual funding for a variety of improvements at the popular local woodland, including new signage and tree labels. It also covers the costs of ongoing maintenance throughout the period and has already paid for the much-needed resurfacing of the entrance driveway, as well as two custom-made barn owl boxes.
A further benefit of the sponsorship is that it has paid for Jersey Trees for Life to have every tree at Adelina Wood (pictured) mapped. This is part of a wider project that will ultimately see all trees managed by the charity thoroughly detailed online with accompanying imagery.
Adelina Wood’s online map recently went live.
Jersey Trees for Life CEO, Alex Morel, said: “We’re so pleased to have got this partnership with Accuro up and running. It’s already made a noticeable positive difference to the woodland and we’re excited about seeing the rest of the plan come to fruition over the next two to three years.”
Paul Douglas, Managing Director of Accuro’s Jersey office, commented: “At Accuro we consider our responsibility to people and the planet to be just as important as financial performance. Sustainability and purpose are at the heart of our strategy and culture – a key part of this involves supporting the local communities in which we work. We are delighted to announce our three-year partnership with Jersey Trees for Life, a charity with whom our shared values and commitment to the environment will help make a tangible difference on the island.”
