The Jersey tax amnesty closes at the end of this month.
Earlier this year the States said people who came forward with details of previously undisclosed income would escape penalties, interest or fines.
It comes ahead of changes at the Taxes Office which, since September, has been receiving information from other countries as part of new international tax agreements.
From January 2018 there will also be stricter penalties in place if you make an incorrect declaration, and those penalties will apply to previously undeclared income.
The States say: “Your disclosure will be accepted at face value, meaning we won’t ask any further questions. You’ll have to confirm that you’re making a full disclosure of your income, from all sources. If you don’t tell us you could face higher penalties or criminal prosecution if you don’t make a voluntary disclosure now, and we find out later that you’ve failed to correct mistakes you’ve made in the past.”
