The Jersey Statistics User Group has launched its 2024 statistics users survey.
The survey is focused on gathering the views of statistics users in Jersey and is part of the work of the Statistics Users Group.
The Statistics Users Group (SUG) is an independent statutory body that has the primary function to oversee the quality, relevance, and integrity of statistics produced by or on behalf of a public authority.
Currently, the Chief Statistician and Statistics Jersey are the producers of Jersey’s official statistics. SUG’s mandate also extends to other public authorities (as defined under the FOI law, such as parishes, States-owned bodies, entities that receive significant States funding, etc.) who produce statistics. All of the members of SUG are appointed by the Chief Minister and serve in a voluntary capacity.
SUG plans to publish the results of the survey later this year.
