Aimie Tønsberg joins the Jersey Post Group from the Government of Jersey, where she worked for 18 years.
Aimie’s most recent position was in the Cabinet Office, where she managed a portfolio of change and improvement projects, commissioned by the Chief Minster and Chief Executive. Born in Jersey, she was nominated and received a commendation in the Government of Jersey’s Manager of the Year Awards in 2022.
Aimie (pictured) has worked for a diverse range of Government departments from Education to Customer & Local Services and Public Health. She led the Government’s Corporate Learning and Skills Team, which was responsible for its workforce of 9000; and also introduced the Island’s first ever Foundation Safeguarding training for both children and adults at risk in a previous role working for the Local Safeguarding Partnership Board.
In 2020, she was seconded to States of Jersey Police, where she was Learning and Development Manager. She was responsible for Police L&D team and supported the training and onboarding of the highest ever number of new recruits in one year, all during lockdown.
She was a non-executive director board apprentice on the Jersey Post International Board apprentice programme in 2023.
