Andy Eagle, interim Theatre Director at the Jersey Opera House, expressed enthusiasm about Deputy Moore’s appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Kristina to the Board of Directors at this important time for the Jersey Opera House. Kristina’s comprehensive knowledge and understanding in strategic leadership and cultural advocacy will be essential as we oversee the future operations of our historic venue and prepare to celebrate both our reopening and our 125th anniversary next year.”
Dave Chalk, Chairman of the Board of Directors, emphasised the importance of Deputy Moore’s contribution: “Kristina’s passion for the arts and extensive experience working with the Government of Jersey will be invaluable as we transition to a new operating model. Alongside Deputy Morel, Kristina played a critical role in securing funding for our refurbishment project as part of the previous Government, and we look forward to her continued support for the future success of the Opera House.”
On her appointment, Deputy Moore shared her excitement: “Ensuring that islanders and visitors can enjoy a vibrant arts scene is really important. With more time now, I am delighted to contribute to the return of the Jersey Opera House. The arts inspire and rejuvenate people, and many islanders have shared how much they miss attending performances at the Opera House. I cannot wait to see the delight on the faces of our audience as they experience the first performances and marvel at the beauty of this great building once again.”
