Jersey has been named ‘International Financial Centre of the Year’ for the sixth time in succession at the annual Citywealth IFC Awards.
It beat off Cayman Islands, Isle of Man, Singapore, and Guernsey to bag the title.
William McGilivray, Business Development Director in London for Jersey Finance, accepted the award at a gala ceremony.
The awards were set up seven years ago to highlight the expertise and service excellence of advisors and managers in the private wealth sector in major finance centres.
They are judged by an international panel of highly respected practitioners from all sectors, with winners being selected based on their excellence, achievement, innovation, expertise and service.
Geoff Cook, CEO of Jersey Finance, said: “It is very positive news to see that Jersey has been recognised a leading IFC yet again. It is clear that by working with key stakeholders and experts in the finance industry, and maintaining positive international relations, we have been able to adapt and evolve to fit the ever-changing private wealth landscape.”
“We will continue to provide a world-class service as Jersey looks to the future, and I would like to thank the judging panel and our business-partners for ensuring our work is recognised as such.”
