Funds firm Hawksford has become the first company in Jersey to be accredited by STEP, The Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) and now The Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
It most recently received the CMI accreditation and approval, meaning it can deliver training and qualifications in-house.
Hawksford’s management development programme is aimed at future leaders, focusing on eight modules around managing people, interpersonal skills, personal effectiveness and delivering excellent results. The programme allows those taking part to gain a professional qualification, access to study resources, attendance to workshops, personal development planning and analysis, and coaching sessions.
Thirteen members of staff have signed up for the first year.
The firm’s Head of Learning and Development, Marisa Ballantyne, said: “Being able to offer CMI qualifications as well as our STEP Platinum Employer Partner status and LPI accreditation is further validation of Hawksford’s continuous investment in our people. Working with the CMI will allow Hawksford to deliver a high standard of professional qualifications and to develop the next generation of managers within the business, which has real benefits for the individuals and the organisation.”
Steve Heappey, Director of Employer and Provider Partnerships at CMI said: “In a tough economic climate, there is no doubt that developing world-class management and leadership is essential to a company’s growth, and I urge employers to make sure that they support their managers to become Chartered.”
