Jersey Finance has appointed Allan Wood as Head of Business Development in the western regions, Elliot Refson as Business Development Director for funds, and Robert Moore as Business Development Director for the UK, as it seeks to further capture opportunities in key markets and regions.
Allan, who joined Jersey Finance as Business Development Director in 2015, will work together with Richard Nunn as joint Head of Business Development, taking responsibility for the UK, North American and African markets, with Richard continuing to oversee the eastern markets of the GCC and Asia.
Prior to joining Jersey Finance, Allan was Vice President and leader of the Jersey International business within Barclays Wealth & Investment Management division based in Jersey. He also spent 20 years with Royal Bank of Scotland and has extensive experience managing business units, teams and clients within the international arena. Professionally, he is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
Elliot Refson rejoined Jersey Finance in November 2018, prior to which he established a Macro strategy Hedge Fund under the Ermitage umbrella for whom he also seeded other Macro / CTA strategy Hedge Funds. He founded the Jersey Hedge Fund Managers Group and is a committee member of the Jersey Funds Association. Elliot will be focussed on the marketing of Jersey as both a domicile and destination for hedge and private equity management companies and funds based in the UK, US, Switzerland and Europe.
Robert Moore will also work on maintaining and nurturing key contacts and conversations with the UK as Jersey’s important gateway role for the UK market develops. Previously, he was employed as a Client Director in the Alternative Investment Division of Ocorian Limited, spent eight years with Garfield-Bennett Trust Company and two years with the TMF Group. Robert has extensive experience within the private wealth, real estate and private equity sectors and has held executive director roles on a number of complex portfolios with varied administrative and regulatory requirements. Professionally he is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) obtaining the Diploma of International Trust Management, entitling the TEP designation.
