At its recent annual general meeting, the Jersey Compliance Officers Association elected a number of new committee members to continue representing and advocating the interests of Jersey’s compliance and risk officers.
Nicola Ingram (pictured), Director of Oben Regulatory, has been appointed as new Chair.
The Jersey Compliance Officers Association (JCOA) committee includes new joiners Funmi Oniyitan, Zebonisia Chutel, Ches Trower and Carla Channing.
Remaining on the committee this year are Sarah Bentley (Deputy Chair), Betty Cadoret (Treasurer), Tanya Campbell (Membership Secretary) along with Hannah Buesnel and Rebecca Tinnelly. The JCOA is grateful for the time and effort devoted by Hannah, the outgoing Chair, throughout her tenure.
As new chair, Nicola commented: “Jersey’s compliance community continues to manage the demands of a high-pressured working environment advising on and working with complex regulatory requirements. Jersey’s finance industry is known for its application of high standards of regulation and it is testament to our members that this is the case, as we have a highly qualified and skilled membership.
“This coming year we hope to build on our membership encouraging others to join, particularly those from newly supervised businesses. We shall continue to provide our members with quality speakers and anticipate working more closely with members to share information, alleviate resource issues and collaborate more to ease the workload that many have”.
