The Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority has recommended the appointment of Ed Daubeney as a Non-Executive Member of the Authority.
The recommendation was approved by the Minister for Sustainable Economic Development, Deputy Kirsten Morel on 14th January 2025.
Ed Daubeney (pictured) is an independent consultant and project manager who works with early stage and high growth companies from a wide range of sectors but with a focus on disruptive technology. He also has a portfolio of non-executive directorships and has had significant leadership, operational and project management experience in Jersey’s private and public sector environment. Ed has knowledge of the Jersey financial services, digital, hospitality, retail and wholesale sectors. In consulting roles, he assisted with the start-up of Digital Jersey, Visit Jersey and Jersey Sport. He holds an MBA from Ashridge Hult Business School.
Outside of his commercial interests he has undertaken several voluntary roles and is currently President of the charity EYECAN and a Governor of St Michael’s School.
Stephanie Liston, Chair of the Authority said: “Ed’s commercial experience and local knowledge will be of great value to our Board in helping to guide the Authority as it continues to play a vital role in supporting Government policy and ensuring that Jersey’s economy remains competitive for the benefit of all citizens. All of the Board Members and I would like to thank Paul Masterton, who is stepping down from the Board after eight years, for his diligence, insight and support.”
Ed Daubeney commented: “I am keen to take up my new role as a Non-Executive Director of the Authority and to give my support to the important work it undertakes on behalf of all Islanders and businesses. I believe my background in commerce, in other arms-length organisations and in the Third Sector give me the right balance of skills and understanding to add value and insight.”
