Jersey Cheshire Home has announced the appointment of John Garatsa in the role of Wellness Centre Manager.
With over fifteen years of experience in physiotherapy, specialising in neurology, geriatrics, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and falls prevention, John (pictured) brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
In his previous positions, John has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, managing comprehensive rehabilitation programs and leading teams to provide high-quality care. His areas of expertise include neurological and geriatric rehabilitation, with a focus on addressing the unique needs of elderly individuals and those with cardiac and pulmonary conditions.
John said: “Physiotherapy plays a vital role in the physical health of residents, preventing complications, and enhancing their overall quality of life. It is incredibly fulfilling to be directly contributing to residents’ well-being and that of the wider community and to witness their ongoing progress, particularly in the supportive and caring environment that we have here at Jersey Cheshire Home.”
Currently, John leads a dedicated team of six skilled professionals and has ambitious plans for the future. He aims to expand services by introducing a mobile physiotherapy unit and implementing a seven-day working service to enhance accessibility for residents. Furthermore, John is committed to exploring innovative approaches to physiotherapy, including the use of virtual reality technology.
