Jersey Cheshire Home has appointed a new Registered Manager to the team.
Sarah Jemson has held a variety of clinical and managerial roles, having previously worked as Brain Injury Co-ordinator for the States of Jersey and prior to that as a Care Home Manager in the UK.
In her new position she will be responsible for the management of Jersey Cheshire Home, ensuring the highest quality of care and support for residents and other disabled islanders who use it.
Commenting on her new position, Sarah said: “I’m really excited to have joined the team. Jersey Cheshire Home is the only Home on the island which looks after young disabled islanders and has a positive impact by enhancing their lives. It also specialises in neurological conditions which is my area of expertise and having specialised in neurology for the past 15 years, I’m keen to share what I’ve learnt with colleagues.”
Donna Abel, CEO Jersey Cheshire Home said: ”We are delighted to welcome Sarah to the team. She has the right level of clinical, management and strategic experience to help us fulfil our vision of being the centre of excellence, caring for the needs of islanders with disabilities.
“Since her appointment we have been making some fantastic positive enhancements to ensure continuity of care and a great skill mix, recruiting new volunteers and of course we’ve opened our fantastic new Community Centre.”
