Business consultancy CBO Projects has hosted a special launch event with a charitable twist to celebrate its new team and office in Jersey.
The event, hosted at Botana, recognised CBO’s services and office being officially launched in Jersey. Leaders and professionals from the business community attended the event, with guests enjoying an evening of canapés, beverages, entertainment. Instead of gifts, each attendee received a donation in their honour for either Jersey Sports or Brightly, a charity providing support to children and young adults in the care system. CBO have a long-standing reputation of giving back to the community in a multitude of ways and offers an extra five paid days off a year to each member of staff to use for community and charity causes.
Guests were also invited to ‘top-up’ CBO’s contribution at special donation points around the event. The event has raised around £1000 for Brightly and Jersey Sport.
Director and CBO Founder Philip Smith also introduced new Head of Jersey and Director Catriona McAllister (pictured), who spoke of the excitement and optimism in continuing CBO’s legacy in Jersey. Catriona explained: “This is an incredible step for CBO. Although we’re growing due to our success, the move into Jersey is far from a numbers game. We are known for bringing our clients the highest quality services and consultants, who are extremely practiced in their fields. We can’t wait to work with businesses, big or small, regardless of what stage they’re at, helping them find solutions and add value. CBO is also a company that is dedicated to giving back to the community in many different ways and we’re proud to be able to continue this ethos of giving here in Jersey.”
Brightly’s Chief Executive Officer, Steve Harvey, added: “On behalf of the Brightly team and those we support, we want to thank CBO for their donation. Brightly awards grants to children and young people who are being supported by the Children’s Service. Through these awards, we can open up opportunities, enrichment and services to make sure these children and young people are set up for success, and can lead happy, healthy lives. Thank you to everyone for thinking of Brightly and for your generosity.”
