Jersey Brain Tumour Charity has appointed Fiona Potts as its new Chair and Carol Graham as Deputy Chair.

Fiona has been a trustee at the charity for over 2 years and was a client of the charity after being diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2021.

Fiona commented: “I am honoured to be voted in as Chair of the Charity. I believe deeply in the work we provide to the local community and I am committed to working on our strategy with the team of trustees, ambassadors and supporters. I look forward to making a meaningful difference and building on key relationships. Working alongside Carol as Deputy will be exciting as she has a vast amount of knowledge and skills.”

Fiona hopes to bring a fresh perspective and an ongoing deep commitment to the Jersey Brain Tumour Charity (JBTC) and their objectives to offer practical, and emotional support to patients, family, relatives, and friends of anyone affected by a brain tumour in Jersey. She has over 20 years of experience in marketing and business development which will enable her to promote more awareness about the charity and provide information about brain tumours to the local Jersey community.

Sue May MBE, the charity’s founder and outgoing Chair commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Fiona as our new Chair, and to take over from my current role. I am positive Fiona will be instrumental in advancing the charities impact and reaching our goals. We are confident she will continue to make a positive difference in the community.”

At the recent Annual General Meeting, the JBTC expressed its gratitude to outgoing Chair Sue May MBE for her dedicated service and invaluable contributions.
