Last week we told you about Jersey Airport’s £42million regeneration plans, well now you can find out more about them and have your say.
Two drop-in sessions have been arranged for people interested in the development plans for the airport. Ports of Jersey say members of the project management team will be on hand to answer questions, discuss the plans, and listen to ideas they may not have previously considered.
The dates for your diary are Saturday 13 January 2018 between 10am and 12noon, and Wednesday 17 January 2018 between 6pm and 8pm at St Peter’s parish hall.
The plans will see an integrated arrivals and departures terminal in the main airport building, with a new mezzanine floor where departing passengers will go through security, before heading through a retail and food and drink area as well as departure lounge with a view of the aircraft.
The new arrivals facility, with baggage reclaim and customs will be on the ground floor of the existing terminal.
As part of the plans, the 1937 arrivals terminal will demolished because it’s no longer compliant with Civil Aviation Authority safety rules.
If you can make it to a drop-in session, or if you have questions or comments in the meantime, you can email the team and there’s a dedicated area of the Jersey Airport website with extra information.
