The team at Jacksons are sponsoring Mac100 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey again for 2022.
This year the 100k cycling challenge takes to the road on Sunday 14th August. Cyclists can use whatever bike they like as long as it is not a fixed wheel, track bike or monocycle and once again there is a prize on offer for the biggest fundraiser.
Last year’s event saw around 200 islanders pedalling their way around the island and raising over £8,500 for those affected by cancer in Jersey.
The fastest finishers crossed the line in three and a half hours, cycling at an impressive average speed of 28.5km per hour.
Jacksons will be making sure everyone stays hydrated, manning water stops along the way and handing out water and snacks.
The motor dealers will once again be donating the top prize in the raffle – a Porsche Silverstone track day.
Commenting on the event, Andrew Searle, General Manager Channel Islands at Jacksons said, “We are really pleased to be a part of the Mac100 for the second year running and to be supporting this fantastic local charity which provides such vital support and wellbeing services for those with cancer, their family and friends.”
“The inaugural event was a great success last year and we hope to see even more in the saddle this time around taking on the challenge and raising as much as possible for Macmillan Jersey.”
All the money raised will go directly to Macmillan Jersey so they can continue providing emotional, practical and well-being support to anyone affected by cancer.
