Guernsey cyclist Jack Reed will hit the road for the French season with some extra support from home thanks to a sponsorship deal with BDO Guernsey.
Jack (pictured), 20, is a fulltime cyclist who is about to start his third season in France, where he is based.
For the upcoming season, he has joined the Sportbreizh Axel Armor-lux team, a national team and development squad based in Brittany. In his new team, Jack will have more of a leadership role.
Since moving across the Channel in 2022, after completion of his A-levels in Guernsey, Jack competed for the division national team VCP Loudéac, achieving podium finishes while competing against some of the best young riders in France.
BDO’s support allows Jack to continue his development as a full-time cyclist, supporting his life in France, regular training, and attendance at competitive events.
In 2025, Jack will be competing in events including GP Plouay, 3 Jour De Cherbourg and Tour Loire-Atlantique.
BDO Guernsey’s Managing Director, Richard Searle, celebrated the partnership: “Jack has shown great promise in his first couple of seasons in France and we’re happy to be playing a part in his ongoing journey. We were most impressed by Jack’s commitment and drive, and hope our sponsorship allows him to succeed and achieve even greater things. Jack is doing the whole island proud and we wish him every success for this season.”
Jack said: “Every time I get on the bike for a race I feel that I’m representing Guernsey, so I’m enormously grateful for the support from home, and especially from BDO Guernsey.
“Professional cycling requires a huge amount of commitment and I’m looking forward to a new season with a new team. I moved back to France and will be spending another year out here racing and training, competing every week against some of the best riders. This sponsorship allows me to focus fully on my development and push myself to the next level.”
