j-ned, the networking group for Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) in Jersey, has announced that it has officially declared Trade Association status, marking a significant milestone in its journey from establishment in October 2017.
j-ned has experienced remarkable growth, currently with a membership of in excess of 200 individuals. Established as a LinkedIn networking group to bring together non-executive directors in Jersey, j-ned advocates for their interests and actively invites expert guests to regular forums (kindly sponsored by Deloitte) to share their knowledge in relevant areas. By introducing a channel for communication and collaboration, j-ned has successfully created a supportive network amongst NEDs in Jersey.
Co-chaired by Sarah Garrood (Partner at Maven Partners) and Louise Follain (Independent Non-Executive Director), with Sarah Sandiford (Director, Deloitte) acting as Vice Chair, j-ned is led by a team of industry experts dedicated to providing a collective voice and advancing the interests of non-executive directors in Jersey.
Membership to j-ned is open to Jersey-based existing non-executive directors or aspiring non-executive directors actively seeking board positions. The association welcomes individuals committed to contributing to the governance dialogue, sharing experiences, and staying informed about industry developments.
Sarah Garrood, Co-Chair of J-Ned, expressed her excitement about the group’s growth and achievements, stating: “The formal declaration as a Trade Association is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our members. We are proud to have become a crucial force in advocating for the interests of non-executive directors in Jersey.”
Louise Follain added: “As a Trade Association, j-ned will be a collective voice for the non-executive director community and engage with industry bodies on issues relevant to our members.”
