With a little help from Rihoy & Son, children at Buttercup Pre-School now have their own mini construction site, including lots of signs and words to make it more realistic.
Anne-Marie, a Pre-School Practitioner at Buttercup, explained: “We are currently working towards becoming an ELKLAN Community Friendly Setting, which is an important qualification. As part of this, we have re-designed and created some new areas within our setting, which includes lots of signs/words to help increase the children’s vocabulary.
“For outside, we chose to recreate our construction area. Rihoy and Son really helped us with this by providing a number of signs for us to use.
“To make it more realistic, we also added some wooden and foam blocks for the children to play with, plus sweeping brushes – to help with physical development –and yellow hard hats and hi-vis jackets to make it more realistic. We are really pleased with the finished outcome. Thank you, Rihoy and Son!”
