IQ-EQ, an investor services group, has announced the appointments of Andrew Elder and Tim Wilson as client service directors in its Guernsey office. Their appointments, which follow the firm’s recent global rebrand from SGG Group (which included Augentius, First Names Group and Moore Management), represent continued growth of IQ-EQ’s senior team in Guernsey as well as the strengthening of its local fund administration offering.
Prior to joining IQ-EQ, Andrew was Associate Director with a UK top 20 accountancy firm, while Tim was Guernsey Director within the Alternative Investment Solutions division of a US-headquartered financial services corporation.
Andrew has 18 years’ experience in accounting and fund administration, including multiple senior roles. During his time at a leading UK private banking and wealth management firm, he achieved successive promotions across multiple departments before leading a sizeable team of fund administrators. He has since held board positions at a fund administration firm as well as on a number of funds and fund management companies.
Tim has almost 20 years’ experience in the industry, including substantial experience working for one of the ‘Big 4’. He spent several years at a leading UK investment bank, where he progressed from Client Accountant to Head of Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting. For his previous firm, Tim was responsible for client services, relationship management and new business. As well as holding both group and client board positions, Tim served as a voting member of its Global New Business Forum, as chair of its Senior Management committee, and as its representative on the Guernsey Investment Fund Association (GIFA) Administration Sub-Committee.
Both Guernsey natives, Andrew and Tim graduated with honoursfrom Royal Holloway, University of London, and have since achieved Fellow membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
In their new roles, Tim and Andrew will lead teams of fund administration professionals and work closely with their fellow directors to implement strategic plans, including the integration of the legacy Augentius and Moore Management businesses in Guernsey, and drive business development for the jurisdiction. They will report directly to Mark Douglas, Guernsey’s Country Delivery Director for Funds. Commenting on their appointment, Mark said:
“I am very pleased to welcome both Andrew and Tim at such a pivotal time for the business, as we move forward under our bold new brand identity. With their strong track records, exceptional expertise and client-centric ethos, they will both play a key role in expanding and enhancing our funds offering in Guernsey, as well as leveraging business opportunities available locally and across our broader network.”
