Intertrust is supporting its employee Kieran Lester with his football journey as striker for the newly formed Jersey Bulls Football Club (JBFC).
Kieran, who’s 28 years-old, is a Senior Administrator in Intertrust’s private equity team and has worked at the fiduciary firm for more than two years.
Kieran’s first games with the Bulls will be in the Combined Counties Football League (CCFL), which includes matches in Surrey, Sussex and London. This is the first time that a football team from Jersey has competed in the UK on a regular basis.
Previously Kieran has played for First Tower United and St Pauls Football Club but, after impressing Bulls head coach Gary Freeman, he’s been selected as one of the top 30 football players in Jersey and has been signed to play for the league’s newest club.
Kieran has won multiple trophies in Jersey football and was part of the St Pauls team that won Jersey and Channel Island championships six years in a row. He was 2015’s Jersey Player of the Year and is a three-time Golden Boot winner (in 2015, 2017 and 2019). He’s also represented Jersey at three Island Games (Jersey 2015, Gotland 2017 and Ynys Mon 2019) and has five senior Muratti caps to his name.
Kieran commented: “I’ve been passionate about football from a very young age, so being selected to play for the Jersey Bulls is a great achievement. I’m extremely grateful for Intertrust’s support as now I can represent the island when playing in England. I’m excited to start the new season. ”
Jacob Smed, Managing Director at Intertrust in Jersey, said: “At Intertrust, we aim to support employees with their sporting hobbies and passions where we can and are pleased that Kieran has made the Jersey Bulls team. He’s such an enthusiastic and career driven employee, so it’s not surprising his hard work has paid off outside the office.
“We’d like to congratulate Kieran and wish him all the best for the upcoming season.”
Kieran’s first match with the Bulls will be at Springfield stadium on 3 August at 3pm. This will be the most southerly football league match ever played in English football league history.
