The Guernsey International Insurance Association’s flagship student event, Insuring the Future, is back for a second year.
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, Insuring the Future 2024 will once again bring together local students to explore the global role Guernsey plays in the international insurance industry.
Students from Guernsey’s Sixth Form Centre, the Guernsey Institute, Ladies’ College, Blanchelande College, and Elizabeth College are attending the half-day conference at 1857 at Kings on Thursday 3 rd October. Through interactive sessions and hands-on case studies, attendees will gain an insider’s view of how Guernsey helps the world’s largest companies manage risk.
Adele Gale, Chair of GIIA, said: “Our goal with Insuring the Future is to engage the younger generation and showcase the diverse, challenging, and rewarding career opportunities that the international insurance industry in Guernsey has to offer. Over 40% of FTSE 100 companies now have their captives in Guernsey, cementing the island’s status as a leading insurance jurisdiction, and we want to ensure students are aware of the exciting prospects this industry presents.”
