Infinity Group has announced the submission of a planning application for the development of approximately 100 new homes adjacent to the Mallard Complex in the Forest.
The proposed development aims to primarily deliver Affordable Housing, facilitated through collaboration with the Guernsey Housing Association.
Infinity Group has prepared this scheme with support from deputies Lindsay de Sausmarez and Peter Roffey. The site’s unique advantages position it ideally to alleviate housing pressures across Guernsey.
The strategic location of the site allows for expedited development compared to larger earmarked areas for Affordable Housing. Pending necessary approvals, Infinity estimates phased construction could commence as early as February 2026, with homes anticipated to be completed between Autumn 2028 and Autumn 2029.
Situated in the southern part of the island, this initiative aligns with the island’s Strategic Land Use Plan, ensuring housing provision spans across all regions. Furthermore, the site’s adjacency to a local centre provides existing infrastructure support, including shops, petrol stations, a primary school, pubs, and a cinema.
