Imperium Fund Services, an independent fund administration service provider to the closed-ended alternative funds industry has assisted Leafy Tunnel Ltd, a UK fund manager, with the launch of their regulated medicinal cannabis and psychedelics fund in Guernsey.
This is the first fund of its kind in Guernsey, a leap forward for Guernsey as a jurisdiction in the alternative funds space.
Leafy Tunnel is an early-stage venture capital firm investing in alternative medicine to address mental health and pain disorders.
The Leafy Tunnel mission is to back teams that aim to maximise the potential of alternative medicine with a focus on providing relief from pain and mental health disorders whilst improving the quality of life for both patients and their families.
At present, one in four people all over the world suffer from pain disorders, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and other mental health illnesses. Leafy Tunnel are confident that psychedelics and cannabis, backed by clinical studies and pharmaceutical as well as business professionals, are poised to become the ‘next major medical breakthrough’ in treating these healthcare challenges.
