Almost 70 people across HSBC’s teams in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man were either promoted or started in new roles over the first half of the year.
The promotions and moves form part of HSBC’s ongoing programme to support people with their career and professional development aspirations.
Welcoming those receiving promotions and starting in new roles, Warwick Long, CEO, HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man, said: “HSBC provides such a broad spectrum of local and global career opportunities and I’m delighted to see people across all our island jurisdictions stepping up or venturing into new roles.
“These moves are a reflection of our shared culture of reward, recognition and development and I’d like to thank everyone for their ongoing enthusiasm and energy as we continue to focus on providing the very best of HSBC for our customers while supporting our people with their own career goals.”
Elvina Aghajanyan, Head of HR at HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man, added: “Supporting the career development of our people is incredibly important and we continue to roll out a number of professional development and recognition programmes in support of this, such as Taste of the Top, which enables colleagues to temporarily cover senior global roles in another country, RISE, our female leadership programme, and Extraordinary People, our annual celebration event.
“These promotions and moves are a reflection of our aim to open up a world of career opportunities for everyone and we continue to explore new ways to do that, to ensure everyone has the tools to meet their career aspirations, and to make HSBC a great place to work.”
The promotions include Kristin Hicks and Tina Bee from, respectively, the Guernsey and Jersey Global Private Banking Teams, as well as Nicholas O’Brien from the Digital Business Services team in the Isle of Man.
