Best Western Hotel de Havelet, part of the Sarnia Hotels Group, has welcomed Beryl Hope, a dedicated volunteer at The Regent Christchurch Charity, for a complimentary stay as part of the Room to Reward initiative.
Room to Reward is a unique volunteer-recognition charity that partners with hotels across the UK to say ‘thank you’ to hidden heroes; those who give their time to support charities and community groups. Best Western is a partner of the initiative, working alongside Room to Reward to provide well-deserved breaks for volunteers.
This March, Hotel de Havelet hosted Beryl Hope for a stay on Guernsey as part of the scheme. Beryl has been recognised by Room to Reward for her commitment to The Regent Christchurch Charity, which preserves the heritage of the historic Regent Super Cinema, hosting live music, comedy, and film screenings for more than 100,000 guests each year.
Gennaro Festivo, Hotel Manager at Hotel de Havelet, said: “Room to Reward is a fantastic initiative and we are proud to play a part in recognising those who make a real difference. It was our pleasure to host Beryl Hope and to give her the opportunity to enjoy a well-earned break. We hope she loved her time on the island and had a chance to explore.”
Beryl Hope said: “Volunteering has been such a rewarding part of my life and to be recognised in this way is incredibly special. I’ve had the chance to visit Guernsey, which I might not have done otherwise, and it’s been a fantastic experience. The hospitality at Best Western Hotel de Havelet has been wonderful and I’m truly grateful for this opportunity. I can’t wait to return!”
