The company well known for providing a reliable carback service has launched a new island-wide taxi service, offering yet another way to deliver people home comfortably and safely.
Home James Taxi Service aims to build Jersey’s first green fleet, already featuring the first all-electric taxi at the time of launch as part of a goal to contribute to a cleaner, greener island.
Alex Morgan, Director of Home James, said: “The launch of the taxi service has been something we have considered for a while now, but felt this was the right time to launch with circumstances allowing us to grow this service gradually to ensure we can deliver a consistent and superior service to islanders”.
The Government’s DVS department has welcomed the entry of new players to the taxi market to encourage more entrepreneurship and innovation into the industry.
Alex said: “We would like to encourage younger, fresh new faces to the taxi sector. It would be fantastic for the younger generation to consider this as a genuine career path and to help us think about ways to do things a little differently”.
Home James Taxi Services will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week across the island.
