Billi-Jean Brown and Susan Le Gresley of Highvern’s Private Wealth team, have both been featured in Eprivateclient’s 2023 Channel Islands NextGen Leaders list, a list of 51 of the jurisdictions’ most promising private client professionals.
The listing has been rebranded from Top 35 Under 35, to focus on work experience rather than age. It aims to highlight and celebrate the industry’s most promising private client practitioners, irrespective of career changes or breaks, reflecting changing trends in the modern workplace.
Senior Trust Manager Billi (pictured) joined Highvern last year and has already established a reputation for the technical grounding, client experience and level-headedness demonstrated throughout her work. With over 15 years’ industry experience, she works predominantly with UK and European high and ultra-high net worth clients across a number of different corporate structures, as well as managing a team of professionals within Highvern’s Private Wealth department.
Susan is a previous Top 35 Under 35 Practitioner and one of Citywealth’s highlighted Future Leaders. She joined Highvern in 2021 as a Trust Manager following a career break to focus on her family and to help with her husband’s photography business.
Bringing extensive experience working within a single-family office, and time spent as an Associate Director at one of Jersey’s largest legal and private wealth firms, Susan now manages a complex portfolio of private client and family office structures within Highvern’s Jersey team. She is heavily involved with developing Highvern’s Family Office proposition and has proved to be an invaluable resource to new and existing clients.
Richard Joynt, Head of Family Office at Highvern, welcomed the new criteria: “We’re very proud to see Susan and Billi listed and pleased that the changes made to the format have allowed for their recognition.
“Where it is now common practice for people to change career later in life or to take time out to start a family, travel or pursue other interests, the new criteria makes for a much more inclusive award. Susan and Billi’s listings are a testament to their dedication and hard work, alongside their continued drive for excellence and professional development.”
