Highlands College’s Adult and Community Education is entering an exciting new chapter under the leadership of Amanda Berry, who has a clear and ambitious vision for the future of lifelong learning in Jersey.
Amanda (pictured) is passionate about ensuring Adult and Community Education (ACE) plays a vital role in enriching the lives of islanders.
Her focus will be on empowering learners to lead fulfilling lives through creativity and flexible learning. Amanda is committed to making ACE a dynamic, accessible and inclusive space where people of all backgrounds and abilities can develop new skills, discover hidden passions and connect with their community.
Amanda said: “Adult and Community Education is about so much more than just learning —it’s about confidence, creativity, connection and community.
“My vision is for ACE to inspire, include, and enrich the lives of everyone who walks through our doors, whether they’re picking up a new hobby, upskilling for employment, or simply meeting like-minded people.
“I’m absolutely over the moon to step into this role. In just a few weeks, I’ve already been inspired by the energy of our tutors and the enthusiasm of our learners.”
