The Atlantic Hotel and Ocean Restaurant has announced that Alexandru Dan, its Head Sommelier, has been ranked #40 in the 2024 Top 100 UK Sommeliers by The Sommelier Edit.
The announcement was made during a gathering of the finest sommeliers in Britain at the Great Scotland Yard Hotel, London, on June 10th. The Top 100 Sommeliers list, compiled by The Sommelier Edit, uses an aggregated points system to accurately assess and analyse each sommelier’s professional successes based on their experience, career and educational achievements, day-to-day responsibilities, and performance in competitions.
Alexandru Dan (pictured) has over 15 years of experience as a sommelier and has been with The Atlantic Hotel for 18 months. His commitment to continuous learning and excellence has allowed him to curate sophisticated wine pairings that seamlessly match with a wide range of dishes.
