Jersey’s two Hand Picked Hotels are giving the gift of rest and relaxation for some parents and carers in Jersey, who are in need of a little time to themselves.
L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa and Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa are offering the initiative to tie in with Random Acts of Kindness Week which runs from the 13th to 19th February 2024.
Working with Brighter Futures, the Hotels’ charity of choice, the ‘Care for Carers’ initiative will enable adult family members, with whom the charity works, to take a break and enjoy a night away from home.
The carers in need will enjoy a free overnight stay with breakfast as well as use of the pool and spa facilities, and with beautiful beaches and outdoor spaces on each of the hotels’ doorsteps they can take a stroll, get some fresh air and take advantage of some precious ‘me’ time.
Sarah Nibbs (pictured), Fundraising Manager at Brighter Futures, said: “Brighter Futures works with more than 150 families per week. All of our client families are special, but some of them endure very challenging circumstances. We wanted to give the parents and carers who are most in need of respite this opportunity, and the offer from Hand Picked Hotels is incredibly kind. It will make a real difference for some of the parents and carers to have time to themselves, in a choice of beautiful settings.”
