Guernsey Rangers Football Club has launched a new quarterly newsletter.
‘The Ranger’ is Guernsey Rangers FC new newsletter/magazine and will be posted to members, the club supporters and sponsors on a quarterly basis. It is also available on the website and at various local businesses and sports venues such as KGV, the club’s minis and youth home ground.
“We wanted to do something a bit more celebratory than simply an information newsletter with fixtures and club news. As Guernsey’s oldest club we have a magnificent history which we will be showcasing in forthcoming editions along with other interviews and articles about Guernsey football,’ said Club President”, Jono Robilliard.
In the first issue there’s an article on one of Guernsey Ranger’s young prospects, Zac Batiste, a gallery of images from the 2021 Rangers Super 7s and a coaching overview from the club’s head coach Colin Fallaize.
The magazine was designed and compiled by U18 and Priaulx player Barnaby Taylor who is planning to study graphic design at Manchester Metropolitan University in September. “There’s a great buzz about the club at the moment with the recent coaching appointments and I was excited to be given the chance to design the new newsletter,” said Barnaby who is currently studying for his A Levels at Guernsey Grammar School.
Jono believes the new newsletter is another example of how the club is giving youth their hand. “Barney has been working hard on and off the pitch and what I love most about this particular Rangers initiative is how supportive everyone has been in piecing it all together. The challenge is now sustaining it but with so many things going on at the club I don’t see this as a problem.”
