One of Guernsey’s most experienced event management professionals, Natalie Davidson, will continue to run some of the island’s best-known events as an independent consultant.

This follows Alex Bridle’s untimely death last year and the consequent closure of the Guernsey Event Company which Natalie helped to set up 11 years ago.

Natalie will be based at Black Vanilla and as well as her running her own projects as ND Events, she will boost the PR agency’s event offering.

Natalie brings nearly 25 years’ event management experience to Black Vanilla, with her career spanning roles both here in Guernsey and in London. The agency will also support Natalie’s events with PR and social media services.

Natalie is well known thanks to her role at the Guernsey Event Company, where she headed up the events team, managing the creation and implementation of some of the highlights of Guernsey’s entertainment and business calendar.

Over the past 11 years, Natalie has been responsible for managing, amongst others, the Guernsey Air Display, Guernsey Awards for Achievement, Proms on the Pier, charity bike rides to France with Only Fools and Donkeys, and British Irish Council Summit meetings in Guernsey and Jersey. She has also overseen bespoke events for a wide range of corporates and charities.

Speaking of her appointment, Natalie says: “It is a privilege to ensure the wide range of business, charity and community events that the Guernsey Event Company helped establish and develop will continue. At the same time, I am excited to join the team at Black Vanilla as our services complement each other and make a very strong client offering.

“The agency is seeing an upturn in demand for events and I’m looking forward to bringing my knowledge and experience to the table.”

Nichole Culverwell, Black Vanilla Managing Director, says: “We’re delighted to bring Natalie on board. Her experience of the events scene here in Guernsey is unrivalled and we’re looking forward to working together to service our growing portfolio of clients.

“We believe that clear communication is fundamental to every interaction and transaction we make, and events and PR are central to building strong relationships which in turn help organisations reach their goals.”
Black Vanilla specialises in public relations, copywriting, events and social media, giving organisations and brands a platform to share their stories and make an impact.

The agency has clients from a wide variety of sectors including financial services, telecoms, health and consumer goods in the UK, Guernsey and Jersey.
