Guernsey Arts has announced the launch of its new Membership Scheme, inviting art lovers and supporters to join a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing the arts scene in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
The membership scheme is being officially launched on the 22 February at Government House by Guernsey Arts’ patron Mrs Louise Cripwell, with new event Guernsey Arts Day being hosted in Market Square from 10am on Saturday 24 February.
Guernsey Arts is the umbrella charity which directly supports Island artists and Bailiwick arts organisations in a wide variety of arts disciplines including performing arts, dance, visual arts, music and literature. Established in 2008 as the Guernsey Arts Commission, the charity offers grant funding, advice, networking and inspiration, as well as creating and curating events across the whole community. Resources are used wisely to support all facets of the arts community.
Guernsey Arts is launching its membership scheme to increase its funding capabilities, ensuring that the arts remain a critical component of Island life within the community – and accessible to all. Membership with Guernsey Arts is more than just a financial contribution; it’s an opportunity to be part of a supportive network that values creativity and cultural expression and seeds opportunities for all within the arts in Guernsey.
By becoming a member of Guernsey Arts, individuals can choose from four distinct levels of support – Magenta, Emerald, Saffron, and Azure – each offering unique benefits and privileges, whilst directly supporting the growth of all art forms in Guernsey. From exclusive access to events and exhibitions to the chance to connect with fellow art enthusiasts, Guernsey Arts Membership promises a rewarding experience for all.
Jennifer Strachan, Funding Committee Member at Guernsey Arts and Associate Director of Sustainability for IAM Advisory explained: “Membership with Guernsey Arts is all about being part of a community. Your contributions aid our valuable work, are a cost-effective investment in the arts, and put you at the heart of our vibrant arts scene.”
By joining the Guernsey Arts membership scheme, Islanders can be part of a growing movement that celebrates creativity, diversity, and the power of the arts.
