This year, the annual Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association golf day welcomes a special guest to Guernsey.
The event, sponsored by HFL, will include an afternoon of golf and dinner, with the chance to play with ex-international England rugby captain, Kyran Bracken MBE (pictured).
Kyran earned a total of 51 caps for England during his illustrious ten-year career and is now an influential member of the group ‘Progressive Rugby’, which campaigns for better protection for rugby players to preserve long-term brain health.
Matt Westgarth-Smith, Managing Director of HFL said: “HFL is very proud to support such an important local cause, and of course, we are excited to welcome Kyran Bracken to Guernsey. We can’t wait to play with an English sporting hero!”
All proceeds from the charity golf day will support the Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association. Tickets are £500 for a team of four, and further sponsorship slots are available.
Julie Thompson, Manager of Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association, said: “We truly appreciate the support of HFL which has helped us to secure the attendance of Kyran Bracken at our Charity Golf Day. This will enable us to raise vital funds for Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association, so we can continue to provide our respite service; a vital help for those caring for people with dementia. It will also help us to grow the services we already provide.”
The Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association golf day will take place on 30th June at the Royal Golf Club, L’Ancresse. To sponsor a hole or book your tickets, contact Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association on 01481 245121 or by email.
