Expressions of interest are being sought for a new retail opportunity at Guernsey Airport this summer.
Guernsey Ports is opening up the landside store previously occupied by WHSmith on a four- month lease over the summer months.
Guernsey Ports commercial development project manager David Buddery said: “This is an exciting opportunity for local businesses and entrepreneurs in a prime location at Guernsey Airport during the summer months, when passenger footfall is at its highest.
“Last year, between June and September, around 280,000 passengers travelled through Guernsey Airport. On top of that, many of those passengers will have been met landside or waved off by family and friends, all of whom are potential customers.
“The space is available for an immediate start and there is lots of potential either for a single business or for multiple ‘pop-up’ style stall holders. The space would be suitable for those with a focus on local products and unique gift ideas.
“We are keen to hear from people with fresh ideas who can bring something new to Guernsey Airport’s current offering and operate a successful summer business.”
The store offers approximately 1000 sq. ft of floor space, including limited lockable on-site storage and a parking space. Services including secure wi-fi, water and electric are available. Enquiries, including site viewings, should be directed to [email protected] and all bids must be submitted by close of business on 13th May 2024.
