International sustainability standard business ESI Monitor has announced the appointment of Green Economy expert Aimee Golden to their expanding team.
Aimee has joined ESI Monitor as a senior consultant based in Guernsey. Aimee has a CertHE in Environmental Science, and as well as completing her MSc in Green Economy in 2020 she also recently qualified as a Carbon Footprint Analyst.
Before embarking on her environmental career Aimee worked in the funds and CoSec industry for over 13 years. Marc Laine the founder of ESI Monitor said: “The unique combination of Aimee’s financial services and governance background, passion for sustainability and deep environmental expertise is exactly what is needed to drive opportunities in Green Finance.
Aimee first worked for ESI Monitor in a pro-bono capacity while studying. After completing her dissertation, which recognised that small islands are perfectly positioned to be pioneers for sustainable development, she joined ESI Monitor full-time.
Aimee said “I joined ESI Monitor to help make the world more sustainable. We are lucky in Guernsey that we have the potential through green finance to green the supply chain whilst also reaping the economic benefit of becoming an authentic green finance centre. It is clear that to have long term success in green finance that all aspects of business and government need to operate to an accredited environmental standard.”
Aimee is passionate about biodiversity in and out of work. She is part of a team of volunteers who manage the Guernsey conservation herd and she is also the registered injured bat rehabilitator in Guernsey.
