Grant Thornton has become the first company in the Channel Islands to be accredited by Investors in People (IiP) with a prestigious silver wellbeing award in recognition of the firm’s efforts to invest in its people and their overall wellbeing.
Investors in People was set up in 1991 and has worked with more than 50,000 organisations across 66 countries with the purpose of helping organisations foster a culture that prioritises wellbeing. Investors in People assessed Grant Thornton Channel Islands against a framework measuring how well the firm is supporting its people’s social, physical and psychological health at work. At the end of the process Investors in People awarded Grant Thornton Channel Islands a silver accreditation which is valid for three years.
Adam Budworth, Managing Director, commented “The past 12 months have demonstrated just how important having a resilient, happy and healthy workforce really is. Our staff recruitment and retention indicators are excellent and our diverse and fully inclusive culture supports our team members through the good and bad times.
“This accreditation process has reaffirmed the good we are already doing and identifies areas where we could be stronger, which is all part of our drive to continually improve. Being the first firm in the Channel Islands to be awarded the accreditation is an achievement in itself and I would hope other businesses follow”.
