‘Give Service a Smile’ campaign launches to celebrate customer service over festive period

The Jersey Customer Experience Alliance has announced the launch of Give Service a Smile, aimed at celebrating outstanding customer service across Jersey.

The campaign, running from 4th November to 15th December, invites members of the public to nominate individuals who have gone above and beyond to make their day, recognising them with a limited  edition Jersey Customer Experience Alliance (JCX) SMILE Pin as a token of appreciation for their dedication and kindness.

The Give Service a Smile campaign seeks to highlight the importance of exceptional customer care in creating positive community experiences. By recognising those who embody the values of Service, Mindfulness, Integrity, Listening, and Excellence—the JCX Alliance’s S.M.I.L.E. Standards—the campaign hopes to inspire others to spread joy and bring a festive sense of togetherness across the island.

The Give Service a Smile pin

The SMILE standards include:

  • Service-Oriented: A commitment to putting customer needs first.
  • Mindfulness: Understanding and empathy towards customers.
  • Integrity: Building trust through congruence, honesty and transparency.
  • Listening: Valuing customer feedback and using it for improvement.
  • Excellence: Striving to exceed expectations in every interaction.

“Give Service a Smile is about more than acknowledging great service; it’s about fostering a culture where kindness and excellent service are celebrated and encouraged,” said Claire Boscq, Founder of the JCX Alliance. “With each nomination, we’re building an uplifting community spirit and highlighting the vital role that quality service plays in all of our lives.”

Versus Finance, a strong advocate for Jersey’s business community, has joined the campaign as a sponsor. Marco Fernandes, CEO of Versus Finance, shared his excitement for the initiative: “Supporting Give Service a Smile aligns perfectly with our commitment to enhancing the local customer experience. Recognising those who bring positivity to their work reflects our belief in Jersey’s capacity to lead with exceptional service standards.

“We’re excited to help make this campaign a reality and to see the positive impact it will have across the island.”

The public can participate by nominating, in a dedicated Facebook group, individuals who have made a positive impact on their day through outstanding service. Nominees will receive the JCX SMILE Pin to wear proudly, symbolising their contribution to making Jersey a better place for all.

The ‘Give Service a Smile’ campaign invites all businesses in Jersey to take part, with the goal of elevating experience and fostering a positive, festive  atmosphere during the Christmas period.
