Bright Futures LBG, an innovative charitable human capital institution is hosting the C.I. Human capital Summit: The Future of Work on 14 March 2019 at St James.
This dip in, dip out, day long conference will provide thought provoking insights into the changing face of the workforce and workplace. We are delighted to be welcoming the Financial Times, OECD, Amazon, CBI, Skills Development Scotland, Edease, Quintillion and a range of technology businesses who will share their expert insights.
This conference is fundamentally about creating a professional, expert insight into what individuals, corporate leaders and policy makers should consider in planning their future careers, organisational design and future human capital investments.
Over the next decade, the adoption of automation and artificial intelligence technologies will transform the workplace as people increasingly interact with ever smarter machines. These technologies and future focused skill sets will bring numerous benefits, in the form of higher economic growth, improved corporate performance, and new prosperity to our island. The question is are we ready?
“A skilled workforce, inspirational leadership and a blueprint for growth are important factors for sustaining the health of any economy and Guernsey is no different,” commented Yuri Bender, Editor-in-Chief of Professional Wealth Management (PWM), published by the Financial Times. “There are many financial centres in competition with each other, so it is important to encourage debate on the island about how these factors can help Guernsey prosper. Industry engagement, including the work of voluntary bodies such as Bright Futures LBG, can play a major part in developing this strategy. I look forward very much to hosting a lively discussion during this event.”
The C.I. Human Capital Summit: Future of Work event is the first of many events scheduled that aims to put human capital back on the agenda. The people and skills challenge of the island is significant and needs the airtime at strategic level to enable relevant mapping and investment to be made. There are a few remaining tickets available from Eventbrite. Stay ahead and help us to help you shape the future of your work.
