They bring with them some very relevant experience from offshore and international law firms, and we look forward to them developing their careers with Walkers.”
Fraser Hern, the Head of Walkers’ Channel Islands business, said: “Walkers has a unique ability amongst offshore law firms to provide market leading cross-border offshore law advice on a jurisdictionally agnostic basis, and to do so in an extremely collaborative manner. Key components of achieving this are having people in our business who combine being technically excellent, commercially astute, and team orientated. Hiring people with these attributes, and who will thrive in our firm and add to our culture, takes time and effort, but when you get it right, as we believe we have with Olivia, Lisa, Luke and Alice, the results speak for themselves.
Olivia has worked in Jersey since 2016 and specialises in advising private equity funds on structuring, establishment, marketing, fundraising, restructuring, their general lifecycle and investment activities. She also has experience working in-house for a leading global financial institution based in Toronto.
Lisa (shown in the main picture) trained with international firm Norton Rose Fulbright’s Johannesburg office, and has been admitted as an Attorney in South Africa since 2019. She has experience in project, asset and real estate financing matters, as well as on aviation and trade finance deals and on general secured financing arrangements.
Luke trained with US firm Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe LLP in London before moving to Jersey in 2018. He advises on a full range of funds and corporate law matters, including private equity, M&A, schemes of arrangement, and company reorganisation and restructurings.
Alice advises on real estate finance, corporate finance and fund finance matters, and has been advising on matters of Jersey law since March 2019. She has particular experience in the financing of investment holding structures in Jersey including Jersey Property Unit Trusts, the establishment and operation of Jersey Property Unit Trust structures, and in Sharia-compliant financing agreements under Jersey law.
