CI Travel Group has added new weekly direct flights from Jersey to Split on Croatia’s Adriatic coast, as part of their 2024 FlyDirect summer programme.
Split is the second-largest city of Croatia after the capital Zagreb, the largest city in Dalmatia and the largest city on the Croatian coast.
The Jersey direct flights to the Balearic Islands of Majorca & Ibiza, Faro on Portugal’s Algarve coast and Malaga on Spain’s Costa del Sol will continue.
CI Travel Group Managing Director Robert Mackenzie said, “Once again this summer, we have been overwhelmed by the support for our direct flights from Jersey to holiday destinations in the Mediterranean and Portugal. The feedback we have received has been incredible and we are so happy to be able to provide an increased choice of flight destinations.”
“In response to demand to add new destinations, we are delighted to offer for the first time, a destination in the eastern part of the Mediterranean. Croatia’s stunning Dalmatian Coast offers so much choice for visitors and we believe that the direct service to Split will prove to be as popular as our other routes, next summer.”
Matt Thomas, CEO Ports of Jersey commented, “We are delighted to see the continued growth of the FlyDirect programme in 2024 and the introduction of the new route to the beautiful location of Split.”
All flights from Jersey next summer will be operated by FlyDirect’s partner airline BA CityFlyer, a subsidiary of British Airways using the Embraer 190 jet aircraft. Flights to Majorca and Ibiza take around 2 hours, whilst to Malaga, Faro & Split the flying time is around 2 hours 30 minutes.
