Eleven teams from six sporty Jersey businesses will be going head to head on Saturday 28 September when they take part in the Corporate Team Enduro in partnership with Mourant.
RBC, Mourant, Ravenscroft, Phoenix, Calligo and Comprop are all looking forward to engaging in a little friendly rivalry to see who will be crowned Corporate Team Enduro champions.
Teams of between three and six people will be operating in a tag-team format, completing the swim-bike-run-swim-bike-run (300m swim, 5km bike, 1.5km run) disciplines on the same course that the professional athletes will be competing on later that afternoon.
This exciting event will also see a touch of family rivalry as father and son duo Fintan and Jack Kennedy race for different teams. Dad, Fintan cycling for the Comprop team ‘Tri Beans’, may have the slight advantage of being fresh for his race though, as Jack will have already competed earlier that morning in the Youth Boys Enduro at 08:30 before he runs again for the Ravenscroft Titans at 12:30.
Jack and Fintan aren’t the only keen triathletes looking for a challenge. Emma Pallot, Senior Marketing Manager at Mourant will be running for ‘Mourant Mix 2’ on the Saturday and then competing again in the Age Group races that take place the following day.
Emma said: “Super League Triathlon is such a great opportunity for the ultimate team building experience. It’s unpredictable, pacey and technically challenging, with a high dependency on having a well-tuned team.”
This year the law firm has introduced a new award for the first mixed-gender team over the line, which Mourant Jersey Office Managing Partner, Dan Birtwistle says aims to encourage mixed team participation as part of its ongoing focus on fostering inclusion in the community and the workplace.
“We’re particularly proud to support Corporate Team Enduro,” he said. “It represents the importance of community, inclusivity and team spirit, bringing individuals with all levels of experience together to compete and feel equally empowered to reach their full potential. Our teams are really looking forward to competing with other like-minded sports enthusiasts and embracing all that Super League Triathlon has to offer over the weekend.”
