The finalists for the 2019 Sure Customer Service Awards have been announced after more than 4,000 nominations were submitted over the summer.
The awards are in their ninth year and see businesses, individuals and teams from Jersey and Guernsey nominated by the public for their commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Thousands of entries were received online via the awards’ new mobile-friendly digital nomination platform as the awards continue to focus on reducing paper nomination forms.
More than 380 business, teams and individuals were nominated in this year’s awards. This year two new awards have been added. The ‘special recognition’ award will be chosen by the judging panel, selecting a team or business that has done something particularly impressive. The new ‘outstanding contribution’ award highlights an individual, team or business that has been consistently recognised for the excellent customer service that they provide.
Sure’s chief customer officer, Charlotte Dunsterville, said: “The Customer Service Awards highlight excellent customer experiences and recognise those businesses and individuals who go above and beyond and Sure is proud to be a part of celebrating their achievements.”
“This year we have had more organisations than ever involved in the awards which can only be a positive thing for Jersey and Guernsey’s customer service levels,” said awards organiser Jill Clark. “It’s been a pleasure reading the nominations and hearing about the exceptional service that local businesses are providing to their customers. Sure, as headline sponsor, has been intrinsic to the growth of the awards so I’m very grateful for their continued support for the fourth year as headline sponsor. I’m looking forward to celebrating with all the finalists on the awards evenings.”
