Time is running out for local charities to apply for the chance to receive funding from the 2025 Saffery Rotary Walk.
With only a few days remaining until the application window closes, charities are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline of 11.59pm on Saturday 30 November to be considered for financial support.
The Saffery Rotary Walk, which has become a much-loved event in the Guernsey calendar, has raised significant funds each year to support local charitable initiatives.
In 2024, the Walk attracted over 1,000 walkers and raised more than £90,000 which was distributed to help a total of 21 charities.
This is a unique opportunity for charities to receive funding that can make a substantial difference to their projects in 2025. Eligible charities are invited to submit their applications before the final deadline. However, with only a small window left, organisations are encouraged to act quickly.
Saffery Trust Director, Lisa Vizia said: “We are incredibly proud of the impact the Saffery Rotary Walk has had over the years, and we are excited to support even more local charities in 2025.
“However, time is of the essence, and we want to make sure that no deserving charity misses out on this opportunity.”
Walk Chairman, Simon Milsted, said: “We encourage all charities and non-profit organisations within the Bailiwick to apply for funding.
“Over the years, I have had the pleasure of seeing how these much-needed funds make such a difference to so many worthwhile causes.
“We ask those who are applying to ensure they put together a carefully considered and well-articulated application, and we look forward to seeing a wide variety of charities applying for a share of the funds. And most importantly, good luck!”
