Excellent client feedback has placed Guernsey law firm Ferbrache & Farrell in the Chambers & Partners in the 2023 rankings.
The highly respected legal directory ranks law firms and their lawyers based purely on client feedback.
The firm’s dispute resolution department has achieved Band 3 recognition, with four of the firm’s lawyers ranked individually.
Counsel Helen McGeoch (pictured) is highlighted in ‘Associates to watch’, while founding partner Advocate Gavin Farrell has achieved top tier ranking for Corporate & Finance including investment funds.
Advocate Farrell was said to provide “excellent commercial and practical advice. He is very knowledgeable and the go-to lawyer for commercial legal queries in Guernsey.”
Clients said that Helen is a very experience practitioner and “gives the kind of standard and quality of advice that larger institutional clients need.”
Another client added: “If you see Helen on a case you know things are going to go smoothly.”
Advocate Alastair Hargreaves, who is also the firm’s managing partner and leads the property and private client departments, is ranked Band 2 for property. Alastair was described as ‘excellent’ and one client said: “He always makes himself available and he has a good understanding of commercial industry.”
Head of dispute resolution Advocate Martin Jones receives a Band 3 ranking. Clients said: “Martin is not afraid to fight in the client’s corner and to fight it hard” and “Martin leads his team well and takes time to ensure all parties understand the various steps, providing explanations as needed.”
Advocate Jones said: “It is very pleasing that six years after our inception, the firm continues to grow and more than hold its own against the larger and longer established law firms in Guernsey, as is demonstrated by such positive client feedback.”
Ferbrache & Farrell was established in 2016 and consists of individuals with decades of experience and who are experienced in commercial law, property law, private client, and dispute resolution.
Earlier this month the firm was recommended across five practice areas in The Legal 500 2023 UK rankings.
