Fairway Group has appointed Mark Hucker as interim Chief Executive Officer and Matt Ebbrell as Chief Operating Officer to lead the continued growth and digital transformation of the business.
Mark brings with him more than 20 years of finance industry experience encompassing C-Suite roles in Jersey based fiduciary services and international banking with organisations such Standard Bank, Key Trust, Ermitage Group and most recently VG. Mark, whose career started at Deloitte is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP).
Matt has been promoted to COO having been part of the Fairway Group as HR Director since 2018. He has over 18 years of Human Resources experience have worked at HSBC, Royal Bank of Canada and most recently the Jersey Financial Services Commission. Matt is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development. (CIPD)
The appointments have been made as the Fairway Group seeks to build on its strong Jersey presence and position it for further growth. Mark will not only caretake the CEO role while Louise Bracken-Smith is on extended leave but will shape the group’s strategy and continued digital transformation. Matt takes responsibility for Fairway’s People, IT, Finance, Marketing and Facilities strategies.
Ian Henderson, recently appointed Chairman of Fairway Group, explained to Channel Eye, “Mark brings with him a wealth of industry knowledge which will help shape our strategy going forwards. Mark Hucker’s appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
