Jersey-based Fairway Group have celebrated their second decade by delivering treats for their team members and teachers at Springfield Primary School.
The company visits Springfield every week as part of the Every Child Our Future (ECOF) scheme and thought that the teachers deserved a treat for their hard work this year.
The cakes were made by local company Flour Patisserie and given to those in Fairway’s Bath Street offices and delivered to those who are working remotely due to the Covid-19 pandemic while a special box was delivered to Springfield.
Fairway Trust Limited was incorporated on 24 November 2000 before the company developed funds and pension businesses, becoming Fairway Group in 2018.
CEO and co-founder Louise Bracken-Smith commented: “It has been an amazing 20 years and we have developed and grown so much as a company while also helping to develop the local community through the Fairway Super Series cricket, colleague-chosen charities like The Shelter Trust and ECOF at Springfield”.
Mal Robson, Headteacher said: “Springfield School really appreciates the time and support given by the Fairway Group to our young readers. The ability to read and understand is fundamental in opening all other educational doors. Through the ECOF scheme, Fairway are giving some of our children the extra support to develop as really confident readers. We congratulate them on their 20th anniversary and offer a huge thank you for their commitment to our children”.
