EY welcomes new trainee associates across the Channel Islands
Share on LinkedInTwitterFacebookEmail

EY has welcomed their latest cohort of trainee associates to their assurance, tax and tech risk teams across the Channel Islands to begin their professional training in the financial services industry.

They will shortly begin studying towards either the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) professional qualification.

Before beginning their studies, the associates, who are a mix of university graduates and A-level students, came together to take part in an induction programme to learn more about what their careers at EY will entail and how their roles will support both the local and global industry, all whilst contributing to EY’s purpose of building a better working world. They also took part in a number of team building exercises to build relationships with their peers.

EY’s induction programme is key to helping trainees build real expectations of their new roles and begin their transition from education to work. Throughout their induction, the associates learned more about the qualifications they will be studying towards, the support EY has in place to support their health & wellbeing, and how they can utilise hybrid working to create a work life balance which works for them.

They were also introduced to their EY career counsellor and buddy, who will be on hand to provide coaching, advice and support to each individual with their personal career goals and aspirations.

Dan Saunders, EY’s Channel Islands Managing Partner, said: “We are delighted to welcome our new associates to the firm. As a firm, we pride ourselves on our leading people culture and providing all our people with the right training, experiences and coaching to fulfil their full potential. From the moment they join us, our associates will gain invaluable insights into the winning behaviours and skills needed to build a successful career at EY.

“Our student applications are open all year round, so for those in their final year of studies, whether at school or university, now is the time to get in contact with us to secure your future beyond education. We have opportunities throughout the year for students to get a taste of what a career at EY entails through our paid work experience and summer internship programmes. Our talent team will be happy to answer any questions or provide any further support.”
