Two members of EY’s Jersey team have been shortlisted for this year’s Jersey Finance Rising Stars awards.
Lois Boyle (pictured), a Senior Marketing and Business Development Executive, and Millie Purdom, an Extended Assurance Assistant Manager, have been nominated in the CSR and Employee Morale, and Compliance categories, respectively.
The Rising Stars Awards are designed to recognise, reward, and celebrate the achievements of the rising talent across Jersey’s finance industry.
Since joining EY in 2020, Lois has implemented enhancements to EY’s CI CR strategy, organising volunteering and fundraising activities for local charities, including Jersey Women’s Shelter, Mind, Hospice, Macmillan, and Comic Relief. Through her spearheaded initiatives, she has significantly improved EY’s waste management, increased volunteering participation, and raised thousands of pounds for local charities. Lois also prioritises employee well-being by regularly arranging events that bring the office together, fostering inclusivity and boosting morale. Her involvement in the Every Child Our Future reading programme and sustainability projects demonstrates her commitment to making a positive difference.
Millie’s initial interest in compliance investigations came during an internship with the US Securities and Exchange Commission whilst living in the US. She further developed her skills in risk advisory with EY’s Forensics team before moving to Jersey and joining EY’s Extended Assurance team. Her international perspective has profoundly shaped the Extended Assurance team, delivering insights to clients in an increasingly complex and multi-jurisdictional regulatory environment. She is passionate about nurturing her and others’ knowledge of regulatory matters.
Jon Atkey-Smith, Assurance Partner and Head of Talent at EY in Jersey, said: “The Jersey Finance Rising Stars awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the fantastic talent we have here in Jersey, and we are delighted to see Lois and Millie shortlisted this year. It’s great to see their hard work recognised, not only by EY but also by the wider industry. Since joining EY, both have made significant contributions to their teams, the firm, and the wider community and thoroughly deserve this recognition.”
